I need to add a vacuum booster right next to my sap releaser to help my system recover faster after a sap dump. I was thinking about using a sanke keg. I have extras laying around and would remove the spear and weld in a bung in place of the spear. Another bung on the other end. I'm a little worried about the keg being designed for pressure and may implode at 27" vac. Anyone have experience using a keg under high vac?

I'd be worried it would collapse at that high vacuum. Even zero tanks that are designed to be under vacuum will collapse under that much vacuum. Use some pvc. You could do a couple sections of 4 inch plumbed together and that would give you quite a bit to help with recovery.
I used an old very heavy 100 gallon compressor tank to do this worked well for many years till I went to electric releaser.
