How much vertical lift can this pump handle?
As I'm working my way through getting everything setup for my first year of the syrup life, I've started to assemble the basic components for a homemade RO (mattatuck setup with 3*150...I know, I should have ordered 1x400 instead...ooops).
I would really like to do 3/16" gravity to a collection point at the bottom of my hill. Then I have to overcome the challenge of getting bulk sap back up the hill as you cannot drive down to the collection point. At first I was thinking about a central collection unit plus another pump. But then I went...hmmm...you've already got the RO pump. Wonder if it will pump all the way up the hill?
Another option is to put the RO setup in the jet sled, run an extension cord down from the house and RO my sap at the bottom of the hill. From there, with only 10 taps it should be pretty easy to pack the concentrate back up the hill in 5 gallon buckets.
What other options do I have for moving sap up a hill without vehicle access?
