wet dry line vacuum source

Hello, maybe this is a poorly worded question, in adding a dry line to an existing wet line system what is the "source" for the vacuum in the installation? Does the dry line extend all the way to the extractor or to a point in the existing wet line just far enough before the area to be serviced with the new wet dry line? Ive read lots of good info on how and why it works but somehow Ive missed the answer to my question. thanks emti

Dry line extends all the way to the releaser.

To the releaser from the vacuum pump. Check The Maple Tubing Notebook, by Steve Childs of Cornell to determine what size vacuum line you need, if the distance is very long you will likely need a larger line than you might guess.
