I have 2 glucose meters one brand new and the other a few years old. I purchased new test strips for both meters. When testing a syrup sample, 10g syrup and 90g water, both meters registered the glucose level as 'LO'.
So I'm wondering how you handle this situation when dealing with maple confections.
