We are planning on converting our 2.5 x 10 to oil this year. We have a 2ft front pan and 8ft flue pan and boiling 8-10% concentrate. What size oil nozzle is recommended? We are thinking about a Carlin 201 with 4gph at 80 degrees, does this make sense?
Here is Leader’s recommendations. https://leaderevaporator.com/content/Leader-Insulated-Oil-Arch.pdf Good place to start. I put a Carlin 701 in my 3x12 when I built the arch. 2-5.5 gph nozzles is where I ended after trying a bunch of nozzles. In my opinion you would want more than 4 gph going into your rig. My stack runs about 630° And I’m running about 20% concentrate.

I converted my 2.5x10 to oil . Carlin 601 crd with 6gph 80 degree nozzle. Run the oil pressure at around 110. Boil roughly 100 gph.
