Does anyone have any experience with the Memprotec RO units? I would like to hear about what you have for an RO and what you have experienced concentrating first pass with 2% sap in the upper 30 degree temps. I'd take any advice on size of RO as well because I will be at 650-800 taps in 2022 with an oil burning arch. I have a 2x8 drop flu with 2x2 syrup pan.

I currently have a 350H. It performs to it's specs. I do not push mine too hard (225 psi), I usually run at or slightly below 200 psi. I've run it at 225 psi with no issue, I just find my workflow and timing doesn't require me to run it that high.

I do recirculate the sap as it comes in and typically take mine from 2-10% with no issue.

If I were to do it over again, I's probably go with the 350V for the smaller foot print, but that is your call based on how much space you have. Well, if I was really to do it over again, I'd go with the 450 or 600, for the speed and higher % because one a year I always seem to get a heavy flow (3-4 gal day) and those days it is hard to keep up, but I can't get more taps where I'm at, so it's really the right size for me and I can deal with a busy day once a year.

Since you're on 650-800 taps, I would definitely be looking at the 450 or 600

We have a Mempro 350H. Last year was our first year with it. They are a really simple and easy machine to use and maintain. i don't think i would ever go back to boiling raw sap again. We take our usually 1.5 sap to 8-9% first pass @ 225 psi. It'll work well for the 650-800 taps. I would also look at where you plan on going in the future. Do you plan on adding a bunch taps in the next 3-5 years? Might want to look at a 600 then.

I'll be maxed out at 800 taps at my place with no other close options unless I start taking in sap. Currently I'm not planning on that but have considered increasing to a 450 or 600. This last year I ran a two post 4x40 with MES membranes but I only had 300 taps. Now with the expansion in taps and changing from wood to oil, I'll need to RO faster and to a higher brix.
