Mark Cannella, UVM Extension Associate Professor, was named “Vermont Maple Person of the Year” for 2021 by the Vermont Maple Sugar Makers Association (VMSMA) at their annual meeting Tuesday night in recognition of his work in maple business extension.
Mark Isselhardt, UVM Extension Maple Specialist, was given the “Sumner Hill Williams President’s Award” at the same meeting. This is a lifetime achievement award named after Sumner Williams, former Assistant Director at UVM PMRC.
This is in addition to Dr. Abby van den Berg, UVM PMRC Assistant Director/Research Associate Professor, receiving the Sumner Hill Williams President’s Award from the VMSMA in July 2020.
