I have a 18" by 60" H2O Rookie. whats better
(A) two separate hoods , one sitting on the flue pan and one suspended over the syrup pan
(B) a single hood suspended over the whole evaporator ?
Anyone out there familiar with this evaporator ?

Just curious about that h2o evaporator you have. How many taps are you running with it and what's the gph? Was looking at that one the rookie or the traditional 18x66.

This is the evaporator I ended up with. This things come with no help or instructions, I don't know if I was suppose to Fire Brick or insulate. I did both ad had to cut the baffle plate out to get enough heat going through to drop flues. I can't get the production that was advertised but its OK.I'm hoping to get my RO going this year. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1787936888037286/

If you bought it from a supplier, you should've been able to get instructions. You can probably also get them from the manufacturer. Using fire brick and insulation was a good move.
