I am rebuilding a Dalaval 75 that is from 1957. It has quite a bit of wear on the side plates (.020 "donut" groove from the rotor) and it needs new vanes, bearings, and seals.

Has anyone rebuilt these pumps before? I need to know roughly what running tolerances are needed between the rotor and side places. I don't think I can trust what is there now as there has been so much wear.

I am guessing right now there is about .020 difference between the rotor width and the bore width. Is this too much (will oil blow by)?

Any help is appreciated.

Not sure if they still make rebuilds for model 75. Check with www.partsdeptonline.com they have a lot of pump parts and rebuilt pumps.

The parts are mostly the same as the model 76, I just have to trim the vanes.

I'm able to do the rebuild myself, that's not a problem. Just need some pointers on the tolerances.
