How long are you supposed to run permeate through membranes before introducing sap?

I think it depends on the size of your RO, and if you've just run a soap or acid wash? Is the membrane brand new or just out of the storage solution?

My membranes are brand new..3 of them at 400gpd

Is this an RO Bucket type? I would suggest 10 gallons of unchlorinated water.

I just changed out a pair on my RO bucket. If I remember correctly, the membranes or the paper in the box said to flush for 2 hours with unchlorinated water. That's what I did anyway and they seemed to be fine.
