Hello
What kind of temperature thermostat do you use to shut off your gas vacuum pump
Thanks

When I used a gas motor on my pump I would just control how much gas I put in it. If the temp was going well below freezing at night I’d put enough in to let pump run till maybe 9:30-10:00 at night. If it was staying above freezing or getting close I’d just put enough in to let it run over night. Worked well for me. I never found that if the lines froze that it caused any harm to the pump. Having the lines not full of sap for a freeze actually helps the lines thaw quicker when it warms back up.

You can use a capillary thermostat and tie it in to the on/off switch or tie it into low oil sending unit .We have done it both ways ,works good either way.
