Well I learned yesterday that changing the filter screen is important.
It was my 2nd year on 3/16 and there was some "schmootz" (probably mold or other debris) in my lines. I sanitized last year but probably not well enough.
My goal was always to let the seasons first run clear the lines. Well, the lines are clear, but that screen sure did gunk up.
I noticed it as my vac levels seemed a bit low.
A quick rinse in the stream and I'm back in action.
I ordered a few extras to have around as spares.

Lessons learned!

Good idea. I try to open mine almost daily to clean them out. They do collect quite a bit of gunk. I also broke my pumps down this year and scrubbed then inside. They was quite a but if nasty stuff in there as well.

Any lead on the replacement screens only? All I keep seeing is the complete strainers for around $11-12.
Thanks, Bill

I bought the whole assembly as I couldn't find any screens only.
Oh well. Spares....
