I'm using CDL signature spouts this year for the first time and have had issues putting them on the drops all the way and straight. I use semi rigid tubing for everything and you can't push them on by hand, at least not when it's 10 degrees out. I made this simple tool for each of my 2 handed tools and it works great. It's a 1/2" nut ground to the correct angle and welded onto a 3/8" bolt which clamps right into the tool. It took me maybe 15 minutes to make two of these and saves me a lot of time and grief. I just thought it might help someone having the same trouble.

not going to lie that is a really smart set-up and would be super helpful.

Great idea! I had the same struggle making drops with the signature spouts. Thanks for sharing.

Not trying to hijack your thread but this is something I made up for putting in Ys.21960

Looks good, sometimes we have to improvise to get the job done.

Clever ideas. Do whatever to make them work! My single-handed 3/16 tool did the signature spouts without issue. But my single-handed 5/16 Pruno brand tool did not. I had to grind down one of the plier jaws some to make a little clearance for the spout. It wasn't a hard "fix", but of course I got out to the trees and then discovered the problem! I tried a 3/16 spout at home and it worked, so I assumed the 5/16 would also work. Wrong! Had to drive home, grind it down and then return- which was a huge waste of time that day and I didn't have any time to waste!
