Chris A blowerputs air up under your fire to add combustion and draft... air injection well there is 2 different types
1st type... a tube with many holes goes through the arch just where the fire goes to the flue pan flues, and gives extra combustion, kinda like an afterburner!!
2nd type... a series of small diameter tubes going into the syrup pan and/or flue pan, emmiting air bubbles that help keep the solids suspended and there for creating a better boil also. it can help keep the grade lighter also I have heard.
