When are folks starting? ( My google photos for today reminded me that 2 years ago today I tapped some of my yard trees and it was fast and furious!)

That all depends on your extended forecast. When on buckets it's best to tap just a few days before it looks like the sap will flow. From then until it stops you should get 4-6 weeks on buckets. If you went with tubing and vacuum, you can get 12-15 weeks in many years.

I would say not for another 2-3 weeks for buckets and gravity tubing in NE Ohio

The extended forecast looks below freezing for another 2 weeks, i wouldnt tap until it looks like a warm spell. Im on high vacuum here and we decided to wait. Single degree nights and 20s in the daytime, seems like everything is late this year and could go well into april if the weather pattern continues

Rephrase, winter was late getting here, covid delayed everything even mother nature.
We could normally make a 100 gallons in January. 

Good, that confirms my thought on waiting a few more weeks and gives me enough time to get ready...
Thanks fellas
