I have a 30x8 leader. Down the road I plan to ro sap (2022 season)
I’m wondering if anyone’s built a setup in the 4-600 gph range?
What pump are you using? Procons or multistage boosters?
Are you using the 4”x40” housings
Are the membranes in series or parallel?
How many? I’m gathering a 4x40 is good for aprox 100gph.
Pressure switches?
Wash cycles?
Thank you.
I must add that my signature info is completely out of date by about 5 years and restarting a new operation after being out for a while.

Upgraded my 3 x 4inch to one mes 8 inch, the plumbing in simpler. I have a 1.5hp feed pump, procon 660 pressure pump and another procon 660 high pressure recirculating pump. This runs well but it is limited by the procons pressure. I run them around 275-290 psi. The membrane and casing will handle 400 plus. That pump is quite pricy

Just based on my 250 RO, each membrane 4x40" must be good for 125 gph if run at 275 PSI (my 250 with 2 membranes does 250 gph at 275 psi). If you go to a higher pressure that flow will be higher. I don't know how much it would gain however, my housings are only rated for 300 psi using the clamp method they use. I understand different top plugs or clamping styles get different results.

For me instead of clicking on "My Profile" I clicked on "Settings" in the top right of each page. On the Settings page I see "Edit Signature"

Any idea what that 8” membrane ran? I looked at mes but don’t see any pricing. However most of these company’s do the “call for price”

Greg How does the recirc pump work? I have modified my single post Deer Run 125 to a two post in series, replaced the gas piston pump with a 1 1/2hp Electric ProCon 330. I'm looking at either 4 4x40s on a PC 660, or a ingle 8x40. I have the recirculation line on my rig, but I've always been curious how it is run with a pump. Especially a Procon, which needs to be fed! Do you still use a needle valve to adjust flow? How many HP are you running the 660s on?
