needle valve for 5/16 tubing

I'm looking for an outlet for a 5/16 needle valve for my recirculation line on my Shurflo diaphragm pump. Last year I just used wood clamps and thought I was clever but it wasn't really satisfactory. I just don't know where one can be had. Jerry

I found a brass needle valve at Menards. They have a variety of sizes. It's by the gas fitting section.

I currently use this needle valve on my Shurlfo recirc. line and it leaks. I can hear the hiss of air from what sounds like is coming from the stem. When it is all the way closed, there is no leak, but if I crack it open to pull sap in, I can hear the air.

It looks like the one BAP posted would be a little sturdier replacement. Is that just my imagination and I just happen to have a dud? With the female NPT ports on BAP's, is a threaded barb fitting and tiny hose clamp the way to attach the lines?

I just use a simple 1/4" brass ball valve with 5/16" nipples. I find it has plenty of control for the recirc line...
They are available at the big box stores.
