I've got to change out the stack that came with the 3x10 that I recently bought. It came witha 16" stack and base that are in pretty tough shape. I'm pretty sure that the 16" stack was not the stack intended for this unit.
Anybody know what diameter stack I should be running on a 3x10 wood fired? I'll be shooting at 20' length (including base).

Danno- My evap is a 3 by 10 and it came with 20' of 14". I guess probly that would be the standard for a 3 by 10. I dont know if the style makes any difference, wouldnt think, but mine is a raised flue. Theron

Thanks PA - and my other question.
I was gonna get the stack made at a local sheet metal shop. Anybody know what gauge galvenized I should be looking at. Would love to do SS, but a little cost prohibative at this time.

Danno,
My King 3 x 10 has a 12 inch stack. It did not have one when I put it together so I am not 100% sure that was factory, but somewhere I found that to be the recommended size. They may be bigger with forced draft and air tight doors now??? Ours works fine and the 20 foot of stack and base gives very good draft:)

The chart that I have states a 12" stack for a 3' x 10' with 5" flues and a 14" stack for a 3' x 10' with 7" flues.
