Looking to buy a new tool to put on drop lines on. My home made one is done. With all the tools out there which is the best?
Thanks Brian

Loac they aren't cheap but the lightest I've seen. Makes a difference when walking thru the woods with them hanging around your neck. Also grip the tubing better even when wet.

Loacs are nice and like everything, best one is the most expensive one. Cdl makes a lightweight one now too I think. None of them are cheap though.

I also vote for LOAC. I have 2, bought the second one after using the first just 1 day. Far better and lighter than the competition. Mine can be adjusted quickly to use for 5/16 or 3/16. I've heard the newer one might not fit both sizes, but I have not seen the newer ones.

So how are they for tired hands? They work easy looks like short handles.

The LOAC are more than adequate with the short handles. Well worth every penny.

I'm 74 and don't have the strength I had just a few years ago. I find the LOAC easy to use. Ease of use was one of the reasons I got a LOAC, I was starting to have a hard time using my original 2 hand tool. Just a guess but the LOAC seems to only require half the strength to use that my old tool did. I then sold the 2 original 2 hand tools and bought a second LOAC. My BIL and I each use one, each of us working solo most of the time.
