Guys- Im figuring at the rate im going I should be ready to make syrup by end of January. Theres no way Ill be ready sooner. I know sometimes theres an early run but when would you say I better have that stuff ready to go no matter what? Seems like feb is usually cold, if it doesnt warm till end of feb just figure on putting them in. Im hoping my holes will last 6 weeks with new spiles vac etc. Whats your thoughts. If Im ready to go by end of January im way good? Theron

The week between Valentine's Day and Presidents Day is when we shoot for. That gives us 6 weeks at April 1st

That is quite a set up of your friends, 100 gal of syrup per hour. Wow! I cant boil that much sap!
Yep Lincoln's birthday, Valentines day or any good day after that:)

Chris and Jim- That sounds good. Thatll give me 6 or 7 more weeks. I should be good shape by then. That sounds like a good yearly target date. Basically im getting to where most of the big stuff will be done im just going to have a ton of little stuff to do. Those big evaps are pretty neat. Im going to go over there and get some real good pics one day and put them on his own photobucket I just havent had time to do it yet. I think he said each evap would do 50 of syrup an hour. In that one picture where you see the evaperator and then it looks like a reflection behind it it is actually another evaperator. Theres two right in line. Theron
