Maple leaf outline

[Maple River Sugar]

I will be starting a project soon but I had hoped someone on the forum may have an outline of a maple leaf which could be enlarged to 2 feet or larger. The project is cutting out a maple leaf and placing it at the gable end of my barn.

You need some type of projector to project the image onto your surface.

Ours is about 14". Enlarged an image and traced it onto wood.

I traced a regular size leaf on card board, cut it out. Pinned it to a thin piece of wood and added a light over it pointing to the floor. By adjusting the distance the leaf and light were from each other and the floor I was able to get the shadow the size I wanted on a sheet of plywood. I traced the outline onto the plywood and cut it out to use as the start to my concrete form.

Not as big as your doing and I like your shadow idea! This was a4 inch plastic coaster used as a press in design.

SVG is short for scaleable vector graphic, the format allows the image to be scaleable without distortion or loss of quality, an office supply store that has the ability to print large format drawings could print any such image to your spec.
