That half a percent translates to a 28 percent deviation from the mean. That's quite a lot.

We have had two years of high pressure from both caterpillars and leaf cutters and some crown die back and some trees even died and didn't leaf out at all last spring. That being said there was almost none of them this past growing season but we did see some type of leaf disease (Anthrax maybe) and have very high niter content while boiling.
