Holding Sap

Been holding sap for about 4 days. It has turned gray--looks somewhat like dish water. Is it bad?

Probably just a little cloudy. If it smells ok, give it a try.

If you're not sure by looking at it, smelling it and (perhaps) tasting it, then boil some in a small saucepan until it is reduced to near syrup, then (let it cool and) taste it.
