I have 551 taps running on a wet and dry line. my releaser is sitting on a 625 gallon poly tank which puts it well above grade for my wet line.. i tried a ladder but not working too well.. i dont know if i need a nunch more ladders or is there another way to lift that much sap on a budget?? thanks for the help.

Can you get power there and pump from a sump up to the bigger tank?

A ladder won't work with a dry line. All of the vacuum and sap have to go through the wet line and ladder. Turn off the vacuum to the dry line and see if the ladder will then work.

What do you think about a two pipe ladder? I dont really feel like spending money in a crap load of stars

Still won’t work with a dry line. Your dry line is sucking all the gasses away that the ladder needs to lift the sap.
There are lots of different ways to build a ladder. Stars , 1/2” pipe but if the sap has nothing to ride up the ladder it won’t work very well.

Im going to take out my dry line tomorrow but would a two pipe ladder work good if I took the dry line out. And can I leave it 1"

I've used a 2 pipe ladder before and it worked good. I put a shut off on one leg of the ladder so that I could shut it off on low flow days. I used 1" pipe but for 300 taps that I had on it I should have used 1/2". It was a good thing that I put the shut off on one leg because I had to keep it closed most of the time.

You likely have a very tight system and need a small air introduction. You may have to watch it for a while to understand if it needs air or trees are giving enough has to create a pressure difference. Could take 5-10 minutes for ladder to cycle bit it should with enough pressure difference.

With my sap ladder 2 pipe systems I had 2 in 3/4", with a valve on one. That valve needed to be almost closed all of the time, but I think I only had about 120 taps on that one. 1/2" surely would have been better.
