9:00 PROGRAM STARTS

Just the lunch last year was worth the price of admission,,,plus it was a great program,,I learned a lot,(I really enjoyed Scott Wheelers presentation and the one on sap ladders, But, they were all good),will definatly try to be there this year,,,would also like to visit some of the traders sugarhouses+wood in that part of the country-I learn more by doing+seeing,,,,just the sceenery is worth the trip-unreal mountiansides of rockies......on the way home I stopped at the Jerusalme counrty store,,there is an amazing view looking up hill,,1000's of acres of rockmaple,,,,,

No One Taps That Hill---What A Shame!! I Bet There Is 100,000 Taps On That Mountainside.

we tap about 2000 just behind the jerusalum country store on top of the mountain. it is quite the site up there. we`ll be at the school that day, if you would like to come up to the sugarbush afterward let me know.

Who or what combination of people own that land? Somebody's got to start tapping that. There are thousands of taps there!! And yes, I'll be there too.

Ryan: That ridge is owned by the VT land trust. They will not lease it for
sugaring. There are probably 4 to 6 thousand taps on it maybe more I'm not sure about the west side, I think getting it around the end of the ridge might be a problem and going west with it isn't possible. My son Dan has 800 taps on the west side on Quaker St. they run like crazy. See you on the 12th at Mt Abe. Congrats on your buck, I got one in Ontario and one here, it was a good year in the woods!

I would like to thank all the people that put on the maple school yesterday,,it was a great presentation,,I really do learn a lot at every one of these schools,,thanks so much,,,,also it was great to meet a bunch of people from the trader,,,,

I am not sure of the spelling but I am going to take a shot at it.It is something like Kowarly and he owns about 3500 acres and the remaining land is owned by the state of Vermont. There was a time that he was interested in tapping it but his forester convinced him to not do it.
