Starting the 100 GPH RO for the first time and following the instructions. Says start RO with valve wide open and let it run for 60 seconds. Then turn valve slowly until it reaches 30 to 50 and let run for 10 mins discarding both perm and concentrate. Problem is my machine starts out at 120 psi wide open. What’s the deal here. I shut it off so I don’t hurt anything more. The concentrate is running double the permetate. Somethings up. Anyone have advice or experience this before?

Probably should contact Next Gen directly. I don't know anything specifically about this unit so I would hesitate to give you advice. Do you have one needle valve or two? If you have two you should start with both wide open.

Steve at NGMP can help, just call him. Somehow there must be a restriction in the flow.

If the concentrate is running twice the permeate the valve is fully open and need to close it.
Not sure about all these smaller Ro's but no need to worry unless your approaching 500 psi membrane presssure. But that's with springtech d&g etc.
