I've been wondering.
After a run of sap flow when the weather stays warm for a couple of days and the sap flow slows, I get white nasty, greasy, slimey stuff forming in the lines and releaser.
What is happening there? I just finished washing up releaser. That stuff can be hard to remove. Soaking in vinegar solution seemed to help.
I would like to understand the process.
Any advice on cleaning?
I like to get everything as clean as possible between runs.
I bought some cheap irrigation hose and I'm running it up to the top of my sap lines so I can flush with well water at times likes this and at the beginning and end of the season.
