Looking for some insight here. This is my first year running tubing, 3/4” mainline and 5/16 tubing. Where my laterals meet the mainline I am using the union with the hook and then a loop to the saddle. Where the hooks grabs the wire it kinda twists so that there is a slight dip in the line just before the fitting. It looks like this is a place to possibly have some freezing. Is this normal or is there a way to remedy this. I did t take a pic of the setup, my mistake. Here are a couple pics of the fittings I’m referring to. Thanks Bryan. 20697206982069720698

use wire ties close to each side of the hook and use a short loop to the saddle, that should help some and don't worry about the frezzing in the loop,it will be thawed usually before the sap will run.

Awesome! Thank you! You try so hard to get all this as perfect as you can and having no experience to tell me how it’s going to work is driving me mad!

I use a slide fitting, so it can be adjusted, I also put one on the last tree
What he ^ said. Slide fittings are the way to go.
