Southeast Ohio,
My work schedule drives my decisions about half of the time. So today I get a chance to tap.
About 20 trees on 3/16 gravity fed to collecting tank.
The weather does not look great, but who knows.
Just a hobby, and no longer a fanatic about it, but just thought I would start a thread to keep you all updated.
A few notes on past years.
I used the taps with rubber balls that stop a reverse vacuum one year, and that seemed to be the longest run I had.
This year just new taps into old line.
The trees are a mix of red and sugar maples. A little bit of North Face on the slope.
When I moved to 3/16 it was a revolution, I have a vacuum gauge at the top tree, and will try and track vacuum if I get around to climbing the hill this year.
Good luck to everyone !!!
