I broke out the RO yesterday. After my initial rinse with last years permeate, my concentrate flow meter is stuck at the top of the guide rod. I tapped on it a couple times, and couldn't get it to come loose. The meter has what looks like threaded plugs in the top and bottom with a slot for a flat blade screw driver. I didn't want to take it out without some advice- are those plugs meant for removal for cleaning? Or are they glued in?
Anyone ever take em apart?

Yes, all the ones I have dealt with, the plug is removable. Go easy on it as the plastic tends to to be quite soft.

I don't know if the plugs double as a pressure relief or a freeze plug but I know that they can get messed up.

Thanks for the replies. I used my widest flat screw driver and turned it right out. The indicator ball and guide rod came right out. When I flush, I'm pushing 5.5 gpm through a 5 gpm meter, I guess it went up and stayed up, I barely touched it and it slide right back down. No funk or debris on it, maybe just dry from last season. I rinsed the membranes with 200 gal of last years permeate, but it still wouldn't come down. I used it the other night permeate meter pegged right at 2.5 @ 250 psi. I was happy with that. I have 500 gallons of sap to go through today so it'll be nice to be able to keep up with the head tank on my new to me maple pro that I got 41 gph out of the other night. Lovin this RO and the Air over in the new arch.
Thanks again for your help.
