Will a Shurflo pump create vacuum and push sap at the same time?

Yes. My first season with a shurflo pump I used it to create vac and push sap to the sugar kitchen. It was not very effective doing both since my kitchen is 400ft And uphill from the shurflo. Under better conditions (like flat run or drop after the pump) it would be fine.
