Other than that wishful thinking on the grate, he did a really nice job on the rest of it. My cinder block arches didn't look that good!

That "grate" will burn thru too soon, you should make it heavier duty. An evaporator needs to burn as hot as possible.

I give that kid a lot of credit for having the initiative to build something. Overall a really great job, and I’m pretty sure it won’t take him long to figure out the grate.
