New shack 2020

Well maybe not new, but new to me. We’re adding an addition for the wood furnace and wood, so that means the old wood shed becomes my sugar house. It had to be moved and needs a new roof along with a cupola, but it sure will beat boiling outside in Maine!! Good for you. You're going to really enjoy being inside to boil and out of the elements for sure. Are you putting it on a wood floor or concrete floor?

It will be on a wood floor for a few different reasons. #1 being that the ground is uneven and I didn’t have time to get the site work done before the frost hit. #2 were planning to move within the next few years so this is more of a temporary setup.

Nice! Yeah, you'll enjoy boiling in that. We boiled outside for a total of 17 years before we had a sugar house. There were many a day where I would have committed murder to have a shack like yours!!
