Can't change whats coming! Hope you have a open winter like when I built mine. Started the 20th of October and made syrup in it in the spring. Keep hitting at it you will be very happy when your making syrup! Looking real good!

Back when I built mine I didn't know that ag needed no permit. I applied for a permit in May. After jumping thru all of their nonsence hoops I finally got approval the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I then started the day before Thanksgiving. I boiled in it, partially finished the next spring. You have a better start.
2 years after I went thru all of that, I learned I hadn't needed a permit. I asked the codes guy, he said he thought I just wanted to make sure it was built right (I didn't believe that for a moment, he just wanted to make sure it got assessed for taxes!) They assessed it for $39,000 for a pole barn type, 16x24', board and batten, 3 small windows, running off a generator the first 4 years. I finally went ag assessment to get the taxes down to about 30%.

What do you plan for siding? You look to be in good shape, far better than when I built mine. That year I got a group of family and friends together on 12/31. We worked most of the day just to get the homemade trusses up. They were heavy, rough cut hemlock 2x6 top cord, 2x4 bottom cord plus the webbing. I had to make a lift rig, the help I had could not lift them high enough for me and the rest of the crew on the scaffolds on each side to reach. So I made a hoist that attached to the 3 point hitch on my 20 HP tractor. That was not ideal but we managed.
I was able to boil in the sugarhouse that spring, had walls, a roof but only a partial (wooden 12x16) floor in a 16x24 area.

Not sure yet. My goal this fall was to get it framed up and a roof on it. Next summer I'll enclose it and add some doors and windows.

Open for ideas for the sides.

Well, a roof over your head IS good.
For siding you can use 1-11, board & batten or many other choices. If it can be seen near your house, you might even want to side it to match your home.

Looking gooood! You will wonder how you ever survived without it! Keep at it almost time to move the evaporator in and tap.
I love the look of the cupola but wanted less steam, so we went with stacks. Your doing great Keep boiling!
