Shipping Maple Syrup to the US

Can we ship Syrup the the US? Are there Duties? Anyone have a website I can check. I have looked around and its confusing as heck. Should I just send it as a gift?

I had some US visitors purchase from a local fair I was at and want more, would like to help them out of course.

I'll guess North Augusta is in Canada? Yes there are duties. You will need to check how to handle it.
