Cottonwood

May last shack was a hut and its gone. I have 3 large cottonwood logs I can cut for studding or rafters. Will the cottonwood hold up to the moisture? I can line the new shack also. with other material. What are your thoughts

Cottonwood has zero resistance to decay. If you have good ventilation on the inside year round it would be good but otherwise you might get mildew on the wood. Cotton wood was used a lot on the plains and many of the old out buildings are still standing but it is very dry out there.
