So it’s the end of the season and I don’t have enough RO water in my tank to wash, rinse, acid wash, rinse, wash, rinse and then preservative. Is using well water ok for the rinses? Do you make more RO water with well water? Thanks.

My permeate tank is oversized so I never have that problem at the end of the season. To wash my RO again to start up before every season, I haul municipal water from a reservoir, let it set for at least 2 full days in my permeate tank (fully enclosed but vented on the top) then wash.
If your well is not too hard water and has little or no iron or sulfur you should be ok making your permeate using that then do your cleaning.
It is a rule of thumb to have storage for 2x your hourly RO sap flow, thus if you can do 100 gal an hour, sap input, have 200 gal storage for your RO. I have a 250 GPH RO but my permeate tank is a 1000 gal tank, but I have it tilted to one end so it maybe holds 925-950. That way I don't run out in season.
When you clean your RO daily, do it by the clock, don't do it until you run out of permeate, that way you gradually get more to do the end of season cleaning.
