Sap expiration

Ive been letting my buckets sit since sunday and was planning on boiling it down this weekend but injust noticed its suppose to rain all weekend here. My sap still looks nice and clear its in blue 5 gallon buckets with lids but i dont know whats too long before it goes bad i heard after a week its no good.

Can always test a bit in a pot/pan on the stove to be sure, but if it's clear and smells good (and it's been kept cold) you're very likely just fine. It might make some darker syrup, but sometimes that's a good thing :) I've kept sap for a week or more several times and it always seems to make syrup.
