One of these is for sale local to me and im looking to find out what kind of evaporation rate people are getting from them. Right now I am boiling on a glorified barrel stove, 15x32 doing about 10gph. I built a flue pan this year that is "too big" , it hangs over 3 inches on either side because I intended on building a proper evaporator next year that was 20ishx48. So i would like to hopefully use my flue pan on the D&G, its 27 inches long and build a 21 inch long syrup pan. Right now my syrup pan is only 4 inches , everything is working so good I almost dont even dare change it but I want to get up into the 20 gph range then all future expansion will be done with an RO

Most 4 ft evaporators with a flue pan setup can get in the 20s ballpark.

I’d expect closer to 12-15gph which is about what I got a couple years ago with a 19x48 Mini-pro, raised flu and syrup pan. 20-25 gph is what I’m currently getting from my 2x5 which is 50% bigger than a 18x48.

I guess the deciding factor will be the cost, does anyone have any idea what value they would put on one of these
