New wool cone filter shedding fibers

I have used a wool cone filter for the final filtering (at bottling) for years. I bought a new one and washed gently by hand in hot water - about 10 times - and rinsed through with hot water from the kitchen spray hose. Still see tiny wool fibers floating on the top of the water. I know they're "all natural", but customers may actually see them in a glass bottle.
Any thoughts?

When I used a wool filter it did the same thing and the fibers did show up in my bottles. I put 1 pre filter over the outside of it and never had issues with it again.
