Maine Maple Weekend

How is everyone doing out there? This next weekend is Maine Maple Weekend in Skowhegan. We start with sap collection at our sugarhouse, a maple breakfast on Saturday morning and then Maine Maple Sunday. Here's a list of what we're up to:

I am thinking of going to the maple trivia contest at Bloomfields on Friday from 7-8. How hard could it be for us? Anyone else want to form a team? It could be fun!

I think it's going to be okay for this weekend. Spitting some snow on Saturday, but okay for wandering around and tapping bucket trees. We'll duck back into the warm shack if it gets chilly!

It was a great weekend! Perfect amount of people! We sold some syrup and candy, ate pizza and boiled like mad yesterday! Really fun! We had a nice run going yesterday and managed to keep ahead of it, barely... I'm headed up to boil today at 3:30 for sure!
