I'm trying to set up a homemade ro system similar to the popular bucket idea. However I'm on my second purchase of membranes with no success in receiving them. The first order claimed they were lost in shipping. The second order from another supplier is sending me notifications that my item is still "shipping" a week after the order was placed and is being very vague in answering my questions.

Has anyone else had a problem in ordering ro membranes?

What membrane number and size are you ordering?

My first order was on amazon and looked like a great deal as one of the posters here recommended. The second order was on eBay from another company however now that I look at the some of the companies closer it appears that most of them are located in the same area of Washington. I'm looking for the 150 gpd membrane. I think the size is 1812 or 2012. I'm ordering the housing and membrane together.

Check, but I think most of the RO's that rate in GPD are running them 24 hrs/day. Check also, they might be treating water not sap.
I won't say someone in Washington can't do the sap membranes, but my gut feeling is that you will get a far better chance buying from someone in maple country.

What was the seller's name and where are the membranes made?

The first order was from Alberts. The second is from “domestic water filter expert” which is connected somehow to “membrane solutions”. The second has now posted another tracking Id which indicates the package has left an actual postal facility. Time will tell. Unfortunately the 2 week delay has left me with 150 gallons of sap that i’m trying to keep from spoiling.

Unless you can cool it to about 33F you should boil that sap, then use the RO on future sap, after the RO is finished. Sap does not hold well.

Looks like you are ordering them on Amazon? I've ordered from Albert's filter on Amazon without issue, but I recommend you check the listings/sellers to find "fulfilled by amazon" or "sold and ships by Amazon" if you want to be sure you'll get it/have any recourse if there is an issue. I have a business account with them (Amazon) and I can tell you there are a lot of un-reputable 3rd party sellers on there these days.

Thanks Msboucha, my first order was from alberts. They offered to give free stuff for making up for the problem. The current order has partially arrived and they are offering the same kind of deal, free stuff to change rating/report. However the rest of the order will not arrive for another week or so. Hard to believe since the initial guaranteed was no good to start with. The 24 hr delay between vague communication with both sellers has now waisted 3 weeks of time. I should have started this last June. I'll try your suggestion "buying fulfilled, sold and shipped from amazon".
round three to come.
