Busch Mink Pump Rebuild

Does anyone know of the Busch Mink vacuum pumps being rebuild or overhauled? Have a MM1142 that's been getting worst over the past couple of years, CFM at high vacuum has dropped off, and the pump just doesn't sound right anymore. Not sure if cost justifies it, like to overhaul it myself but i know there are tight tolerances for the cylinder and claw gab? There is also a back lash and synchronizing tolerance which isn't published anywhere. Any help would be great.

I don't know if they rebuild pumps or not, but I would suggest that you contact Richard at New Boston Pump Service in New Hampshire. (603)894-6677. Richard has helped me several times with problems with my Busch R-5 pump. He has provided me with parts and supplies for my pump.

Call Eric at Lapierre in Swanton. He has worked on our Busch pumps (mostly Model 1142) a couple of times. We’ve been happy with the results.
