What a start to the year!!!!! Got tapped Friday and was able to leak check and get vac. in all 4 areas. Saturday was disappointing but it ran all night and picked up Sunday. 500 gallons of Sap Friday, 200 Saturday and 1,550 gallons of sap on Sunday. Biggest single day I have had in years. Made 35 + gallons of ultra light syrup. Now it looks like a few quiet weeks until we get another run.

Managed 370 gallons of sap over the weekend. Made 9.5 gallons of really light stuff. Looks like a week of until the season really starts early next week. Good to have 47 gallons bottled and ready before the real runs begin. No substitute for vacuum. My 1 area of 70 taps on gravity did nothing. bushes on vac got me enough to RO and boil.
