First hydrometer reading of year

So tapped in 3/4 of my taps this last week, had some run the last couple days. Filled test cup and was just shy of 2 percent. I was expecting around 1.4 like we usually start with. Perhaps because it's later in the season than we normally tap. Either way was happiIy surprised, since I prefer sugar not just sap!!

We just got our 1st run in last night. 3% reading on the refractor meter! Pleasantly surprised! Since last year never got above 2%

This is all good news, Sounds like the RO and evaporator may not have to work as hard!! Deffinantly is at least as high as anything I saw last year...
