I was looking around for sap collection containers for some additional taps that I will be putting in this year and came across this cool product:

https://smartbottleinc.com/emergency-and-survival.html#!/5-Gallon/p/122429960/category=26398600

Seems like it could be an affordable solution for small scale sugaring and they would be very easy to transport and store, I usually use a combination of 5 gallon buckets and "water cooler" jugs that I have accumulated, so may additionally try out a couple of these bags this year.

Anybody else ever try using collapsible jugs for sap collection before?

Never seen that product but wouldn't a five gallon bucket be cheaper and easier to clean?

I have four five gallon cubes that I used once. They are the things that would've had a cardboard box that they fit in. They work great as long as the temperature doesn't go below freezing! When they freeze, you have giant ice cubes that you can't do much of anything with. At least you can empty a partially thawed bucket.

Those look flimsy, and impossible to clean, which means they'll be thrown away. There's too much plastic crap in the world already. Why add more?
