I put out around 20 taps and buckets on the old maple trees around the farm house today. Some were flowing good some not so good.

Should be a good run the next couple of days. Friday is a pretty big warm up. I got about 40 gallons yesterday, it was running really well in the afternoon.

Got another 60 gallons today everything is still running but at least my collection barrels are empty now. If it manages to get below freezing again tonight tomorrow should be another nice run

I collected 60 gallons on this 2 day run from 30 taps. Hoped to have 10 to 15 sitting in the buckets and boil it today before the big freeze mid week. Looks to be a good run coming the end of the week.

Collected and boiled all day. Still averaging 2 percent. I think I boiled around 160 gallons. Bottled 7 quarts. Pan is very sweeten'd. Ran out of energy.

Sunny facing taps were already flowing this morning at 8am. Should get a good run today before the storm.

Everything I had was running great today. Even tomorrow after the snow pushes out it's supposed to back up to 40. Where I am I'm not sure it's going to get cold enough to stop running on vacuum.

Yep. Went out to do last round with the horses at 7:30pm and the taps were still running. I love that sound . There's a dozen buckets just outside the back door so when you go outside at night all you here is ting ting ting ting.

I took my refractomter to each bucket this afternoon, I saw the same thing. Some I had a few over 3... Tended to be higher in my galvanized buckets as opposed to plastic buckets. Not sure what that’s about.

Some taps are still pumping out the sap and some that were good producers seem to be closed. More moths are showing up and some sap is yellowing. I have enough paper pre filters for two more boils and enough containers for 4 more gallons. I'm guessing one more boil of sap and one more for finishing of the sweet in the pan. Fertilizer for the hay fields is coming next week, hay equipment needs to be worked on,
and fence lines need to be cleaned up. It's been a great ride.
