Question: Multiple Taps per Tree on Vacuum Systems?

For a sufficiently large tree, what is the current thinking on number of taps? Do you actually gain any sap with a second tap? I'm thinking of a wet/dry vacuum system.

If I can hug the tree without touching my fingers I put in a second tap.

Me too, but never more than 2. That's at about 22-23" for me.
