Hey Everyone,

Ive been reading for a couple years on here, but have yet to post. After working outdoors on a homemade barrel evaporator, i have decided to upgrade to a 2x4 this year and build a shack. It will be nice to get everything indoors under one roof.

Shack is 14'x16' on a 20' slab, with an overhang for firewood

Nice start, it will be so much nicer to be inside boiling! We upgraded ours this year from our first that was 10 by 20' to a 18' by 32'. I am just getting it closed in now. (see my post "late start below". What kind of evaporator
are you getting?

Im going with a 2x4 mason hobby XL, going to jump from 20 taps to 50

Yep, 20 to 50 taps this year. Next year 50 to 100, then 100 to 200!!! You are caught up in it now! It sure is fun though ....

It's the uncurable maple bug, 20 last year, 200 in 2 years and 2000 a few years after that!
