I've purchased some s.s. pails (approx 18" high and 12" across) to store syrup in till I have time to bottle it.They're from milkers before lines where put in. On one there is a pin size hole at the bottom of the pail. There are 4 feet on the outside bottom that are spot welded on. It's at one of the welds where the leak is. I can't get at it with a welder and would prefer not to weld. What can I use to seal it that would be food safe.

A dab of lead free solder would do it. Make sure and use some flux first. I like liquid flux and silver solder.
